Ladies, mark your calendars for the Bridging Generations Women’s Conference happening Friday and Saturday, October 10th and 11th. This year’s theme is all about prayer, and most of our breakout sessions will focus on growing stronger in this vital area. We’ll also feature some amazing speakers from right here in our church family. This is a weekend designed to inspire, equip, and refresh you—so we invited you to register now!
Main Speakers
When Women Pray: Finding Our Prayer Voice
Pastor Lisa will lead us into a deeper understanding of what happens when women pray. Together, we will discover why prayer is essential, how to find & strengthen our own prayer voice, and how God calls us to stand united as partners in prayer. She will inspire & equip us to embrace the power of prayer in our daily life.
Pastor Lisa Hackett has faithfully served as our Connections Pastor since 2013. For over 40 years, Pastor Lisa has led a variety of bible study groups and ministries within the church that have impacted countless lives. In 2023, she was ordained with the Assemblies of God, marking a new chapter in her call to ministry. She and Pastor Greg have been married for over 4 decades, blessed with 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren.
Clarifying Communication: Bridging Generations Through Prayer
Pastor Danielle will explore how women from diverse generations - from Baby Boomers to Generation Alpha, communicate, interact, and pray. She will help us discover practical ways to bridge, deepen understanding and connection.
Dr. Danielle Dean, our Next Generation Pastor since 2015, brings over 30 years of ministry experience. With advanced degrees in counseling and leadership, graduating from Liberty University with her doctorate in Education and Leadership, she also serves as a Chaplain for the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office and is a certified international defense tactics instructor. Pastor Danielle is an ordained pastor in the Assemblies of God. She and her husband Jim have 7 children and 7 grandchildren and they live in Fauquier County.
Breakout Speakers
A Licensed Professional Counselor, Debbie Elmore has helped people make sense of life's challenges for over 30 years. She has worked in private practice, with New Life Ministries, and with the Life Christian Counseling Network. Debbie will explore how the new dimension of prayer & relationships with our adult children shift from parenting to becoming their advisor. Debbie and husband John have five children and 21 grandchildren.
In Prayer and Understanding: The Differences in How Men & Women Think, Cynthia invites us to laugh, learn, and pray as we see how God’s design builds love & connection, how vital prayer is in navigating our differences. Cynthia Rush loves building up women of all ages, serving on the HER Ministry leadership team and as MOMCo’s mentor, Mama Rush.
Melinda James, leader of the “Honoring Your Temple” Connection Group, has learned obedience, surrender and God’s faithfulness through health challenges & unhealthy relationship with food. She’s been blessed with 4 children and 2 grandsons that she adores. In Learning to Guard Our Temples with the Power of Prayer, Melinda shares how to understand our role as “caretaker of our temple” and how prayer powerfully shapes our journey.
Cate and Kerine invite you to come and hear how God wants us to know Him through prayer and learn & explore how “generational differences” actually are similarities rooted in our commonality. The prayers found in the books of Daniel & Ephesians are there for us to reach “the ear of God!”

Sally Small, Jenny Carta and Heather Harris invite you to come & explore how writing can transform your prayer life. No writing experience needed, just an open heart for a new way to pray. Sally, Jenny and Heather lead the Women Who Write Connect Group, and their passion is to help others cultivate a rich prayer life through writing.
Join Dalia Benavides as she shares about Prayer and God’s Purpose for Your Life. Dalia leads the Hispanic Connection Fellowship Group with her husband, Salvador. She has a heart to serve others with God’s love, dedicated to providing the best care at home, at work & in her community. Dalia is a homeschooling mom and works full-time at Kaiser Permanente.
Christy Wentz leads the Women’s Tuesday Morning & Teen Bible Studies and serves with Vertical Youth. She & her husband, Rick, have five children, all in the teen & young adult range. Her topic is Hanging onto Hope in the Teen & Young Adult Years. Christy invites teens, young adults, and parents, to come & learn the power that is unleashed when God’s goodness intersects with our faith.
Sabina Murphy leads the homeschool group at church and has children from 1 year old to middle school. Passionate about intercessory prayer, she intentionally nurtures the next generation in following Jesus. In her Breakout session, Train up your Children in the Way of the Lord, she teaches how to pray Scripture over your children.
